Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Anti-ageing treatment is often prescribed by doctors to eliminate wrinkles in the upper third of the face.

This includes forehead lines, frown lines between the eyebrows and crows’ feet around the eyes.

Very fine needles are used so there is very little discomfort.

Dermal Fillers (Revolax)

Dermal filler is a popular injectable treatment that plumps up facial lines and wrinkles to make the skin look more youthful.

As we age, the skins natural hyaluronic acid is lost giving rise to the appearance of lines, wrinkles and folds which we all so often dislike.

Fillers consist of sterile hyaluronic acid gels made from non-animal sources.

This type of treatment is not only used for improving those unwanted lines they can also be used for lip enhancement and for shaping facial features.

Lip Fillers

Lip fillers are a type of aesthetic treatment that can correct the lip shape or add volume to the lips to create a plumber pout.

The lip area is injected with a filler to provide ‘plumpness’. The whole procedure takes around 30 minutes and can be used to tackle a whole host of different imperfections such as “smokers” lines, wrinkled lips, strengthening the outline of the lip border.

This is a treatment ideal for those women who have lost fullness in their lips through ageing (we lose 50% of our lip volume by age 50) or for those women, however young or old, who feel that they need to enhance the natural size and shape of their lips.

Cheeks

Over time the face loses fat, causing the cheeks to become flat and saggy, giving way to a sunken-in look.

Although some are born with naturally high cheekbones, achieving the look of sculpted cheeks can be accomplished by nonsurgical treatments that focus on restoring plumpness, volume, and definition to restore volume to the midface and recreate youthful contours, we can use dermal fillers.

The filler used consists of a thicker hyaluronic acid – a substance which can be found naturally in the body. Filler can be placed directly above the cheek bones and moulded to define natural cheek bone structure.

They can also lift areas lower down such as the nasolabial folds. The procedure takes about 30 minutes and is virtually painless. Satisfaction among this procedure tends to be very high, and dependent on the fillers used the results can last as long as 18 months

How long do fillers or anti-wrinkle treatments last?

The length of effect of Anti-wrinkle injections varies depending on the extent of the procedure you have undertaken and how often you get re-treatments (Top ups) but generally it would last between 3-6 months.

Dermal Fillers can last a good 6 to 12 months, depending on the area treated and for lips usually around 6 months.

Are these treatments safe?

Both fillers and anti-wrinkle treatments are incredibly safe when carried out by a trained professional using reputable products.

Marionette Filler (corner of the mouth)

Marionette lines are long vertical wrinkles that traverse from the corners of the lips to the chin.

The name is derived from Marionette puppets that have faces with long vertical creases. These creases could give a grim or sad look to the face. These lines occur with age, smoking and genetics.

It is possible to lift these corners with dermal filler by adding volume and anchoring the corners higher up.

Nasolabial Line Filler

The nasolabial fold is the deep crease running from either side of the nose down towards the corners of the mouth. This crease becomes more noticeable as part of the natural ageing process.

Fat is lost from the cheeks, makes this fold appear deeper. Deep nasolabial folds can be corrected through injections of dermal filler into the surrounding area, restoring the lost volume and softening the appearance of these creases.

The goal of nasolabial fold injections is to even out the skin volume, leaving you with a smoother, refreshed-looking appearance.
